Simple steps to convert a Microsoft Word document into JPEG picture

Are you a regular PC user? Well, you simply can’t do without a word processor then. A word processor is nothing else but the simple, handy, efficient, and reliable text-processing software application that you use to write a text-based document for your school/ college project or even your professional files. As productivity software, a word processor allows you to type in text; edit the contents; delete a part or the whole document; move the sections within the document; create several copies of the same document; and even take a print out of the same.

Microsoft Word is a very popular word processor that enables you to perform all of the above mentioned tasks and also lets you:

  • Format your document
  • Check the language style and grammar
  • Convert the Microsoft Word document into a JPEG picture format and vice versa.

Here is how you can action the task:

Convert a Microsoft Word document into JPEG format (text to image)

  • Open the Microsoft Word document you wish to convert into a JPEG image.
  • Make sure that you are able to view the contents of the document; if there is any part outside your view (not displaying on your screen), you will not be able to convert it.
  • Press the ‘Print Screen’ button to copy the contents of the document.
  • Go to the Microsoft Paint application and paste the copied text.
  • You can edit the document here – crop any part that you don’t want to convert and finalize the image here.
  • Save the document by accessing the ‘Save As’ option and remember to choose the ‘JPEG’ file format from the dropdown menu.

That’s it! You have successfully converted a Microsoft Word document into an image.

And now, reversing the process will help you to convert a scanned image (containing text) into a Microsoft Word document. To do it,

  • Scan the document and ‘Save As’ a .tiff file (by selecting the file type from the dropdown menu).
  • Access Microsoft Office Document Imaging (it can be found in the Microsoft Office Tools folder if you have Microsoft Office 2007 and above).
  • Open the file you have saved in the .tiff format and copy the text you want to convert.
  • Paste the contents in your Microsoft Word document and format, edit, and check the spellings and grammar in the content to finalize it.
  • Save the document with an appropriate name.

Isn’t this simple? Try out right away and let us know if it worked for you…
