NEW DELHI: Gurgaon-based iYogi will sell its tech support services to customers of Spain's Telefonica, one of the largest mobile phone companies worldwide, in a five year partnership deal in which the telco will market the services to data users under the brand name Guru.

"Guru is a co-branded technical support service for digital homes in Spain. It is a long-term, strategic collaboration between Telefonica and iYogi to create a new service category, and a significant step towards the globalisation of iYogi's innovative service products," Uday Challu, iYogi co-founder and chief executive officer, told ET.

Venture capital-funded iYogi has a pro proprietary technology platform that allows it to offer remote and on-the-ground technical support for desktops and laptop computers, tablets and smartphones, besides printers, televisions and other devices. The service will be launched by Movistar, a Telefonica group company.

The Guru plan offers unlimited remote assistance priced at five euros a month.
