Well, if the case in hand is particularly about tackling the PDF viewer in your Google Chrome browser, you could easily disable it and continue with your browsing sessions.

Follow the tricks below to stop Chrome from displaying PDF files automatically:

• Launch the Chrome browser
• Open a new tab and type in “chrome://plugins” (without the quotes) into the Omnibox and hit Enter
• This should open up the list of plug ins that you have installed
• Scroll to the PDF plug in that would read as Chrome PDF Viewer
• Click on the Disable option

That’s it! Hereafter, every time you’ll have to open up a PDF file, you will not have to bother preventing Chrome from automatically opening it up. You can now use your preferred PDF viewer that you have and continue browsing.
